Help my car

so my 997.1 tt doesn’t start it makes a click sound when I turn the key buy doesn’t start. I changed the battery thinking it was that but no go. It sounds to me like this is a starter motor issue. Can anyone tell me if this sounds correct. I know it’s not common for the starter to go in a 12,000 mile car but anything can happen I guess.

Thanks I really appreciate it. I was thinking of taking out the oem having it rebuilt and putting it back. This way I would retain the oem that came in the car.

I posted that because I had a similar situation on my 2010 C4S where both batteries were s**t. But that's how things seem to work out for me, car-wise.

Save yourself from aggravation and have a dealer or refutable P car shop diag the problem sounds like a starter issue but others could mimic the problem. Good luck.

Hey there is a ground that goes by the Firewall and I read that was causing a ton of problems like you are experiancing. Read it on Rennlist a few months back but don't remember what thread it was ...but it was a grounding issues simlar sounding problem as yours. and if you follow your ground side cable it goes into the firewall and it was something in that connection that does it.
