I have the Numeric shift kit in my car (but not the cup or Numeric cables). I found that the addition of a heavy weight shift **** (I use Black Forest Industries...~215g) makes a very noticeable difference in 1-2. Things just flow more smoothly rather than the more notchy shift I experienced with various Porsche shift *****.

Yup, it's a beautifully designed piece. Too bad Porsche insists on plastic innards for most of their shift *****.
