Need help cleaning MAF sensors

Hi guys, I have a 2008 997 Turbo. My shop says I need to replace my MAF sensors and they don't want to clean it. Can someone tell me how to do this and the tools needed for it? Thanks!

Did this on my 997.1 Turbo when the dealership said i need to replace my MAFs. Takes all of 10 minutes to do. Pretty sure its a security torx bit. And a liberal spray of CRC MAF Cleaner.

IXXITT will become famous soon enough
Also, make sure not to touch the maf sensor at all. Spray liberally without touching it with the straw from maf cleaner can.

My preference would be to remove the maf in its housing vs. removing maf itself. Less chance of breaking it. Also you probably wouldn't need the security torx bits this way. Remove as you would any air/coolant hose.

I have a 997.2 turbo, which is different; guidance above is general.
