I have to admit that this car is FUGLY and it looks like some random aftermarket company just bolted on a gimmicky cheap KIT ... Oh well :(

I think i'll have to wait 5 years for the 998 turbo (or whatever it will be called!!)

I love it for what it is, but they could have done a better job on the exterior.

Think the OEM rims take alot from the car s looks.Real sad IMHO

I love the ar except for the front nose and the OEM wheels.
Basically an easy fix since you know one of the tuners will come up with a great nose, my guess if RUF will make something great.

DJ, so right. Put a RUF RT nose on it, and some wheels and it will look bad ass. That whole turnsignal foglight thing is just a disaster.

Sorry but not really feeling it. Sometimes I wonder why do we need to slap on aftermarket kit & wheels to make our TT look hot...when Gallardo or F430 looks great right out of the box?

So far I havent like the look of it in any of the pics Ive seen. I dont think a real life view will change my opinion. Cant wait for fellow 6 speeders to get one and write up the preformance though. I trust that more than any car mag. I'm also very interested in what TA will do with it. I like the Ruf and Gemballa exterior versions better than the stock. Its nice to know that there are alternatives.

Totally in agreement here. I got used to the front bumper and the wheels but this rear bumper!

Well i must admit, the cars advanced characteristics are appealing, but i cant say im a fan of the styling :confused:

i'm almost set on those 997 Carrera Sport wheel but i just saw some Buick Lucerne Sport wheel on the way to work! hilarious

It is a very "busy" Design. There are slits and slats all over the place and the wheels just magnify it by a hundred. Different, more simple wheels and a different color and I think it will look much better.

Silver is not the color for that car, which is a shame because when I think of Porsche, I think of silver. I actually like the front and rear bumbers. The wheels on the other hand...

Tell me its still camoed. Wow. Its hard to look at. I am honestly trying my hardest to love it because its the new tt and thats a big deal, but wow is it ugly. The side intake is horrendous. The exhaust is terrible and the front bumper could not be worse. WTF? Nobody likes it. How could such a car be disliked by so many on the forum? I can't even look at it without grimacing.

Judge the answer for you is simple - a 997 carrera sent to ruf :)

.........haphazzard cut-outs for tailpipes, with oddly shaped black surrounds..........widened duck tail's disproportionate size.
Has anyone in the design team actually stepped up admitting they were the point person on the 997 update project?

I doubt it.........looks like a committee effort.
