Hello all,

So recently after a cold start/long time off, when I start my 07 turbo, I get a knocking before the infamous panzer tank 2 second chain rattle. So this is the process: key in ignition, turn on, knock, knock, knock, engine fires, rattle sound for 2 seconds then everything fine. I've noticed both the chain sound and knock occur when the car has been off for more than a day or two. But then sometimes despite being off, nothing and fires fine. Any ideas? Bad starter? Also, I changed that little 0-ring myself on the oil filter housing that some say causes bleeding of oil out of the filter when off for long periods. No effect on the chain rattle. Thanks in advance.
