The 50km/h to 250km/h race amuses me. It does not reflect the low range torque of the 997TT. Let's race the M5 (or any car for that matter) from 0km/h to 250km/h....and then back to 0. I imagine the Porsche will be standing still at the time the M5 reaches top speed. Game Over.
bottom line? got to respect what BMW can put together for the price / performance ratio....at least in a straight line.
From a dig the 997 TT will be hard to beat, but thats a traction issue, not torque. Torque is plenty present from 50km/h on up. The ability to launch like a maniac is the 997TT's strong point.
0-100 to zero (MPH) the Porsche is going to be VERY hard to beat. But thats hardly the 'norm' at the track or stoplight grand prix. BMW will be NEVER produce a car that will outperform the 997 TT on say the 'Ring for the same amount of money or less. But what they can do for a mere fraction of the 997TT price is admirable.

At 0-3000 RPM's the m5 cannot generate nearly the torque the TT can. Also, the traction of the 997TT helps the launch. I believe braking is an often neglected asset of a car...Suppose I can stop in a distance that is 10% less than the M5 behind me. Also suppose that I am approaching a corner that requires rapid braking. Now given that I have better braking power, I can stay on the accelerator for a longer period of time. Case in point, I was racing a Ducati last week in a ZO6 through the twisties. He would pull away in the middle of every turn and into the straights. I could outbrake him though. His taillights would come on "X" feet before a turn. I would then gain ground. At the same "X" foot mark, my foot was still buried in the accelerator. The Ducati smokes the ZO6 in 0-60 or 0-100. But it couldn't pull away because the ZO6 could outbrake the bike. It's ironic, you have to brake to go fast.

Nice videos, well done Gustav! How do you compare the Kelleners M5 with stock? I notice the M5 start to catching up at around 240-250. Did the TT run out of that 10sec. over boost?
Significant difference between stock and Kelleners:

I dont know about the boost actually.
