Just drove Turbodickie's 997TT

Dickie threw me the keys to his 6-Speed, Sport-Chrono car, and let me and a buddy take it for a drive.:)

Overall impression; feels like a X50 car with no lag and better suspension. Love the interior, I think the new dash is great. Feels very solid....and I think it looks better in person than in pictures. I think Porsche did a great job with this car.

Thanks again, Dickie!

P.S. - This car is Dickie's 24th Turbo Porsche. :D

Scott, you're back home now? Dickie's Porsche is really amazing isn't it. Dickie gave me an awesome ride in his Turbo. He let me drive too but I was very careful to be gentle with his new toy.

I'm home for 10 days, then I go back this coming Sunday. I transfer back here in March.:)

How's that Turbo of yours running Scott? How does the 997 Turbo stack up against your car?

My car is currently in Arkansas getting modified for more power. As far as how the 997TT stacks up; not a slam on the truly wonderful 997TT at all, but it's simply not a fair comparison. My modified car currently makes more than 200 hp and 200 more ft lbs. of torque than a stock 997TT does. Power wise, it's analogous to comparing the 480 HP 997TT to a 270 HP Acura TL. You just can't fairly compare properly modified cars to similar stock ones.

I will say that out of all of the 'stock' perfomance cars I've ever driven, the 997TT is probably the best one overall. Prior to today, a 996 GT2 that I drove last year held that title.
