Tirerack told me that they haven't worked out the fitment and are not offering a winter tire/wheel for the 997tt. Wheel enhancement does have a package -based on Carrera S lobster forks that were traded in - price around $4200 mounted balanced etc. Porsche offers the same package for around $5400

Are those of you planning on running your 997TT through the winter concerned about road salt/sand/other people sliding into you/etc?

That's what kept me from driving my 997 in the winter.

I suppose we cannot simply put winter tires on the stock rims? Are the rears too wide for the 295s?

I can find N01 Nokian WR and N0 Continental TS810S, question is whether they fit on stock rims.

RC over at Rennteam is using Porsche's recommended Nokian WR "N0" with 295 rears on his factory winter wheels rims.

Pilot Winter 240 Snowsport is another alternative.

The 235/35 19 and 295/30 19 Nokian and Pirelli snows we have will fit the stock 8/11 wheel sizes. We have the tires, just no wheels until we can get a hold of a car to measure. Call me if you need the tires.
