Pictures of Some 997TT's recently modified at Shark Werks
These 997TT's are proving to take to modifications just as well as the 996TT's ever did (They're already in the 10s which took a lot longer with the 996TTs). Power-wise they're really proving the platform. We've had a good few cars show up in the past couple of months and we've modified them in many different ways in terms of power, suspension, exterior/interior so I figured I'd show you guys some of the cars and what was done to them to give you an idea of what to do (or not to do!) and hence I've added them to our project page;)
http://videos.g33kd.net/997tt_projects/6.JPG There's obviously Fred's 997TT 690R and full tech art Type 1 and PASM coil overs... Here's the build process: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/...007_997TT_fred http://videos.g33kd.net/997tt_projects/P1000814.JPG Here's another EVO 690R with HREs, some tech art pieces, coil overs, GT3 seats/roll bar, Tubi Exhaust etc... Here's the build process: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/...997TT_EVO_690R http://videos.g33kd.net/997tt_projects/7.JPG Here's a meteor grey Stage III car with a full type 1 tech art kit and HREs. Here's the build process: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/...ech_Art_Type_1 http://videos.g33kd.net/997tt_projects/8.JPG Here's another white (amazing how many white cars we're seeing compared to the 996TTs) Stage III with Tech Art coil overs. The build process is here: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/..._StageIII_Pasm http://videos.g33kd.net/997tt_projects/DSCF3458.JPG Here's a classic looking GT silver Stage III car with light weight C-21s and you can see the build process here: http://www.sharkwerks.com/galleries/..._Stage_III_HRE There's a few more here as well: http://www.sharkwerks.com/projects.php |

Alex thank you for the photo's the more I see the Meteor Grey 997's the more I get used to them.
Any pictures of the Full TA kit on the meteor turbo? |
Alex thanks for the pics, I asked Fred but haven't gotten his response yet, about how the GT3RS compares to the 997TT with the coilover suspension mods handling wise
I guess the GT3RS is still better handling but how close to it do you get with the suspension mods on the 997TT I mean $ 7500 is a lot of dough but does it deliver handling wise, and how close does it get to the GT3RS experience Mike |
Mike, it's actually very close but when in sport mode. Car handles like it should have been meant. What the suspension won't take car of though is the braking. The GT3RS brakes are soo soo much better.
If you are gonna track the TT, get the Suspension for sure. I am so more confident when taking turns now. The car just goes where you want. worth every penny! |
Alex, Those machines are gorgeous!! You definetly do quality work especially in someone elses' wallet...:D

Thanks for the pics. The gallery sections for each car gives you a good look of the engineering you don’t normally
see under the bodywork. You guys have some of the best write-ups like the detailed engine builds you’ve done in the past. Keep up the good work and thanks again! |
Fred the brakes on your GT3 are better because they are ceramic! (as well as the GT3 weighing less)
