Let's not forget today

I was flying home from my honeymoon this morning 6 years ago from Honolulu to Houston. Last flight to land before all airspace was closed.

I am sitting in my office in Manhattan, same as I was six years ago. I'm proud to say I'm still in New York and live a half mile from where WTC stood.

Mom woke me up when she called to tell me to turn on my TV to see why her flight home from Dallas was cancelled. I remember thinking that it couldn't really be happening.

I remember as if it was yesterday - i was at McDrive to pick up a coffee when i got a call from my office, it was early afternoon in germany.

Next three days i was watching television - everything else was of no relevance

I was in Bar Harbor, Maine watching the horror unfold right before my eyes on cnbc. Ill never forget the sounds I heard as we walked down the main street in Bar Harbor. People crying, screaming, gasping as the events unfolded that day; the entire town was silent.

Scariest part for us was a day or two before we were deciding if we should go to NYC to see the sights and tour the WTC or head further north and go to Maine. Someone obviously was watching over us. Life is all about choices and you never know where those decisions will lead.

Anyone listen to Glen Beck? Some scary stuff he has been talking about dealing with our schools

I had just woken up and turned on the tv news(as I always do). The first tower had already been hit. I watched as the second tower was struck. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I was in my dorm in NY, turned on the TV 5 minutes after the first tower was hit.

I was on my way to high school with my dad.(I didn't even have my driver's license yet) We heard the news on the morning radio show. Spent all day watching the tv in various classrooms. I will never forget.
