Vorsteiner V-RT Aero Kits Available - Bye Bye TechArt

Well if you are bored of seeing that same old TechArt aero kit, there is finally something to get your heart and engines revving about. In 2008, a couple of us tuning shops got our first samples of the new Vorsteiner V-RT Porsche 997TT aero kits. You might have see the article I wrote on our site here. Vivid Racing has been working with Vorsteiner for years on their products including their industry leading BMW components for the M3. Their new Porsche 997 Turbo aero products do not skip ANY detail.

Starting off on the front bumper like you have seen on the Vivid Racing car, it features carbon fiber radiator ducts, a carbon fiber lip spoiler, and an OEM fitment which makes you extremely happy when fitting to your vehicle. The bumpers aggressive aero dynamic styling gives the car a look as if it was coming to eat you! The bumper does fit with the factory LED turn signals and side markers. However the bumper does require the removal of your headlight washers.

Next is the side skirts. Oh wait, there are none. Because the 997TT looks better without them. Good choice Vorsteiner.

The rear bumper is quite impressive as well. The bumper features a carbon fiber diffusers, huge intercooler vents and a construction that gives the rear end a stout appearance. The lines help flow with the remainder of the kit.

I think this is Vorsteiners signature part here. Their rear wing for the 997 Turbo is a piece of art. It is a combination of the GT3RS and GT2 wing. It includes functional side air intake ducts like you find on the GT2. The top wing blade is nice and wide for great downforce and is fade in full carbon fiber. The complete wing and decklid is 1 piece to give you a sturdy and solid rear wing. The factory rear brake light and underside accessories fit without any modifications.

Vorsteiner also offers carbon fiber door sills and mirror inserts for a complete Vorsteiner look. All Vorsteiner parts are available in DVWP, which is a manufacturing process called Dry Vaccum Woven Plastic, which is a very durable material and lightweight or Carbon Fiber. The finish of all the Vorsteiner parts is excellent and will require prime and paint to be installed. All parts are made in the USA and guaranteed 100% for fitment and finish.

BRN 997 TT 04-14-2009 01:31 PM

The kit is unbelievable, even the quality (first hand experience) with Vorsteiner. But there is one thing i wanted to know about, its the front LED turn signal, I was wondering if there is any chance you could fit a Techart Day Light Running light which they have, b/c the ones they have only fits on type II front bumper & GT2 stock bumper.

But Vorsteiner WoooW... love the kit.....

vividracing 04-14-2009 01:33 PM

Yes the TechArt will fit. I dont see why they would not.

Ready to buy?

BRN 997 TT 04-14-2009 01:42 PM

Because the way that its made is to fit the own bumper & as for the GT2 OEM bumper the LED turn signal is a bit bigger than the OEM Turbo bumper, as Jan Gezici from Techart mentioned....

isn't that a TECHART car in your avatar? :)

vividracing 04-20-2009 11:49 AM

Hey Mark Carrillo.. Actually that is our customer in Mexico that we sold a complete TechArt kit to with HRE wheels. He got the Type 2 front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, and rear wing. One of many products we have sold to our many customers in Mexico. Beautiful car and picture which makes for a great avatar. I was waiting for someone to point that out. We sell alot of TechArt products still to those that like the brand name. Vorsteiner is quite a good replacement option.

how much is the rear wing and lid? willit fit an 01???

milou 04-26-2009 01:17 PM

The vorsteiner carbon fiber mirror covers cost $398,99:eek:. I bought similar to those from ebay for GBP50, of course i never used the techart ones which i bought for much $$$ and felt sorry for their quality.

Vorstreiner kit looks beautiful but i think is overpriced like techart do, this is just my opinion:rolleyes:

vividracing 04-26-2009 03:13 PM

Sorry Steve they only have that for the 997TT. We can do a similar wing from MaShaw on the 996TT - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/m...4-p-63343.html

As far as pricing goes, Vorsteiner is definitely less. A full TechArt Type II front bumper is $6000. You get 2 different styles and material though.
