Our newest line of Brombacher exhaust features 2-¾ inch (70mm) tubing throughout the entire system. Just how big is 70mm? Well, in order to demonstrate, take a look in your refrigerator. Our 70mm turbo system tubing is the perfect fit for your 12oz can of soda. The large tubing offers a substantial reduction in backpressure, extracts maximum performance and delivers a wicked exhaust note. This is demonstrated by the deep growl at idle, the off throttle “gurgle”, a prominent whine of the turbos under acceleration and the incredible symphony of destruction unleashed at wide open throttle. This is all accomplished without drone or resonance in the cabin.

hello Rhonda and pardon the stupid questions. What's the difference in sound/performance between the 100 cell cats and the 200 cell cats? Does any of them set off the CEL? thanks.

 

NeilM, Let's put it this way, on a exterior sound (decibels) scale of 1 to 10 (1 being stock) the sound version muffler with 200 cell cats is an 8. The sound version with 100 cell cats is a 9. Both the 100 cell and 200 cell versions do not have any resonance in the cabin but you will have more interior sound intrusion with the 100 cell.

The performance gain with the 100 cell is between 3 - 5 hp more than the 200 cell version. The 200 cell version does not set off the CEL, but the 100 cell does trigger the CEL.

Also keep in mind that we have a valved version and a quiet version so we can suit any of your sound requirements.

This 997TT also has a BMC sport filter .

All kidding aside it is our level 2 and has our "Brombacher" sound version with 100 cell HJS cats, our program and a BMC drop in filter. The exhaust system is 2 3/4 inches straight through so their is such little back pressure that you rip through the gears. Our new manufacturer's sytems have been THE most powerful we have seen, period. We are thrilled with this set up.

if the 100 cell is a 9 would the 997 TT "Brombacher" (Sound Version), Cat Bypass = $ 2,204.00 be a 10? also, would this give you the most HP out of all the systems you offer?

 

Don't you have enough mufflers in your garage??

The cat bypass version is our loudest version so it would be a 10 but does not have incessant drone. It is the highest hp version coming in at 30 hp. So it is about a 5 hp gain over the 200 cell version.
