the 997 is said to have at least a 6 year production cycle...i find it hard to imagine that Porsche won't introduce a 997 Turbo and/or GT2 within the next six years.

The 996TT will continue based on the 996 platform. There won't be a TT based on the 997 platform. The TT won't change cosmetically until the 998 appears. There will be performance enhancements (maybe X50 standard) or another model ("Turbo S").

This according to my Porsche dealer...but only time will tell?

Porsche hasn't decided yet.

If they do build the 997 Turbo, it won't be released before 2006.

has porsche EVER had a body style that DIDN'T include a turbo model in it's lineup since it's (turbo's) introduction in '76??? didn't think so, and i don't think they will start now! ;-)
