I was one of the early adopters who paid $600 for the 8 gig model. When they cut prices, I got a $100 credit at Apple.
I have love it from day 1. Like any innovative technology, it offers amazing functionality, but isn't perfect. If you are willing to accept certain imperfections, you'll absolutely love it. And at current prices, I think it's a good deal. A simple iPod os $300. Drop the extra C-note and get the phone. |
They are *supposedly* working on support for Notes, so if they do that AND jump to the 3G network I would love to pitch my crackberry.

Amazing phone. I've had all the PDAs and Smartphones and the iPhone blows them all away. Not perfect but you'll get over it quickly. GL & enjoy.

love it
it does everything any phone on the market can possibly do and more. Check out modmyifone.com (yes with a f and not ph). I use it for business everyday to communicate with clients about custom shades (dental), send PDF file's diretly from my phone and not from some server or website, watch latest flicks like Cloverfield on demand, surf and reply/post on 6speed, play PSP, Nintendo, etc. games, latest music on demand and........ I can go on and on but you get the idea. Buy the phone. Absolutely love it! Did I mention it also remote syncs(wifi) with calendar and contacts.

best phone ever... period.

You will love switching from an AT&T (GSM) RAZR to the iphone. You might have network issues if you were switching from a Verizon (CDMA) RAZR. If you were moving from another type of smartphone, I would say you would be dissapointed with some of the iphones smartphone functionality. That being said, you can really hack the iphone with a ton of apps.
While I love the iphones screen size and user interface, I do have issues not being able to see certain emails. That should hopefuly be fixed in future software releases |
Amazing phone! The best!

I have Palm Treo 700P. What I don't like about the I-Phone and has kept me from purchasing at this time is a lack of high speed internet. (Sprint has it)Inability to us it as a modem for my laptop at high speed, (Sprint has that), and the fact it does not have 3rd party programs yet. (I have lots of Palm programs) If it does, not very many.
My palm Treo has more capabilities that I use and the I-Phone can not compete , the exception being the I-Phone has built in Wi-Fi. The I-Phone also does not has external memory capibility. (Alows easy transfer of docuents and pictures etc, nor does it have a simply capability to change out the battery with a spare when low. (Sprint Treo has both) So I am waiting for 3G and 3rd party programs to be developed as well as other improvements before I make the move. ALso, Sprint offers unlimited internet on their high speed network for an additional $15 per month. AT&T is much more expensive. |
The reception is terrible. I switched back to my blackberry and couldnt be happier. Plus the e-mail system is terrible. More than half your e-mails do not get through.

I didn't like the fact that it's kind of hard to type on the iPhone. There's no tactial feedback on the smooth screen. Can't type on it without actually looking at it. I prefer my Blackberry Curve instead. Plus AT&T charges an arm and a leg for their iPhone service.

Switched from a Treo and couldn't be happier. Does what the Treo was supposed to do much, much better. Actually easier to type on (big hands) than the Treo and the overall integration is worth the price alone.
Everyone wants a "faster" network, but in actual use, it is much faster than the Treo was on Verizon and is usable without wifi (the Treo was not and the browser sucked). FWIW, the data plan is great also; bill was ~$50 less with AT&T vs Verizon. Added a second line for the car and the bill is stlll less than I was paying before. Would like MMS, more memory and a faster network; if they happen, I'll buy another. If they don't, it's still the best phone available. |
I to was one of the first people that got the iPhones, which was a bad idea because of the problems I was having. Had to swap the phone 2 times and now on my third, and has been going strong for 3 months. It’s more of a computer then a phone. It really is on a whole new level compared to my other PDA’s. (Had a Treo and Blackjack). If you like technology and are willing to learn you won’t regret it. I’m the type of guy that loves the iDrive on the M6. I had a razor maybe 3 or 4 years ago, a very basic phone, but the iPhone has lots of features, many that you don’t need. Best part of the iPhone are the updates that come every few months. Hope that helps.
