After passing on an '08 Cayman S and considering an '08 base Carrera and a number of preowned cars, I finally took the plunge and purchased a leftover '07 Carrera S with 170 miles on it. The car is black with sand beige, heated power seats, sport chrono, Bose, cd changer (do people really still listen to cds?) Carrera Classic wheels, floor mats, sport shifter, floor mats, black painted console and sand beige gauges. The car was punched as of January 31 so the warranty started then. The negotiated price was just shy of 16% off MSRP and the dealer is throwing in full clear bra, colored wheel crests and a Porsche indoor car cover. Picking it up on Tuesday!

Where'd you buy? I have a nearly identical car that I bought in November but I still haven't used either the CD changer or the single CD. But then I haven't found the 8-track slot yet either.

Thanks - I was joking - I asked the dealer about an iPod hook up. They quoted me $1,000 to install the Nav TV unit. Obviously, I passed. I intend on removing the changer and hooking up an iPod connection at some point.

Congrats . You got the Sport Chrono ! I'm glad --you'll see it's great . I still listen to CD's . Not too often either . I like the music of the engine the most . Forget ipod -get a sport exhaust , tune up that machine , throw an intake and some headers and you won't need to hear another thing except the sound of your heart pounding when you crank up that engine .
