I recommend you Powder Coat the calipers instead of painting them as it is much more durable. RSS powder coats Porsche calipers including the replacement decals. Please PM me or call for details.

I too have the non-S brakes. I think they may be anodized (sp?) rather than painted and do not hold up well. I have only used car wash soap and mine look the same. Either painting or powder coating will hold up really well. I have seen people get good results by painting with caliper paint without taking off the calipers. You just need to take really well.
