Any issues with putting 997 rims on a 997S ?

Hello

I'm looking to purchase a set of OEM 997 18" Carrera Classic takeoff rims for my 997s. I want to put winter tires on them.

I am assuming that there should be no issue given that both cars are narrow bodies. I do have a couple of questions though:

1: Are the 997S brake physically bigger and require more clearance from the rim?
2: My car has the TPMS on it. Do I need to install a system on the new rims or can I run without one?

Thanks

Wheels will work fine, I have a set of 997 C2 18" on my 997 C2S with the track tires.

I don't have TPMS, but I would buy another set of sensors and use them on the winter wheels.

If you want to avoid the TPMS warning messages and lights you'll need to add sensors...or you can get the service department to shut it off. There's a detailed explanation of this process on another board, maybe even on this one. Isn't winter over yet?

I think I will end up getting the tire pressure monitors. As for winter being over, the Calgary summer tire season is quite short and runs from mid May to September or November. I have found the rims I am looking for so I figure I may as well be prepared for next winter.

Even then you still might not get a Chinook in mid to late spring.
