finally! I love the taillights! I also really like those split 5 spoke wheels on the S's.

now I don't know what to do! get a 2009 M3 or pony up and spend more $$$ and get a 2009 C2S.

I LOVE the wheels !!!!!!!!!

Paris_CarreraS Jun 5, 2008 05:20 PM

front and rear led lights?

Fast997S Jun 5, 2008 05:54 PM

Not a fan of the tale lights...front bumper is OK. I'll stay with my pre 09.

hehe you're going to get your typical extremist words like "hideous", "hate", "grotesque", "ugly".... glad i have the older model. why can't you just like both?

I for one would take LEDs over the tired incandescent lights EVERY day of the week. it modernizes the car so much.

good work porsche with the freshening up without making the outgoing model look obsolete... just a little more "classic".

you can keep playing in your non DFI, lower hp 997 sandbox bro and pretend you don't like the new models your other porsche fans will be picking up soon (maybe me)

not bad not bad. in person it's always better as well. just as good as the current model

awcayenne Jun 5, 2008 06:26 PM

diffuser is nice. The lower part of the front bumper looks a little whimpy. Need a lip spoiler of some sort.

vrnkc Jun 5, 2008 06:34 PM

Tail lights are not to my liking because they look too "Asian".

agree. should be an easy fix...

Ok, ok, we have the pics. Now give us the details that matter. I want to know the compression ratio on the S, the gearing for the 7 speed, and if they raised the redline a bit then I know my prayers were heard and God drives a 911.

LeNoah Jun 5, 2008 06:53 PM

I like the front end, like the S wheels. Really don't like the tailights. The way they kinda sag down into the rear bumper is disturbing to the crisp lines. Really like the hp bump but since my 997 is only 6 months old, there won't be any stable changes around here for a while. So, let's see, the (dare I say it) plenum, 200 cell cats and a remap should at least double my horsepower. OK, bring on the dyno!!

I like the new tail lights but I'm not feeling the new wheels or front end. Of course, I'd love the extra 30 bhp.hilarious
