Why would you have to spend that much servicing the Aston? Is it really that expensive?

Hand made = problems. But beautiful car! If it is more reliable, I would love to have an 09. Next to my C4s. But wait, I can only afford one...

Looks great, white is a good choice. Definitely time for some new wheels, are those 18's? Can you compare the driving experience/power of your AMV8 to the new 911?

Congrats, but why are you waiting to get the bluetooth and new navi. I presume they were not ordered which is strange because all of the 09 I've seen have those 2 options. Any discount on MSRP?

Enjoy.

Hi Mass...

I got it for a decent discount, but considering the horrible trade in, I'm not so sure how it works out in the mix.

As for the options, they all have the navi screen, but both 997.2s that Rector and Sonnen got were same spec. Neither had navi. I noticed the S Convertible had bluetooth, but I guess this one was different. Dealer agreed to give me any options that I wanted installed (Navi, iPod, BT, etc..) at dealer cost plus discounted labor rate, but there are supposedly no parts until Dec or so, so looks like I will be sans navi for the first time in 3-4 years.

18s, and am looking for a good deal on 19" HREs... =)

Beautiful pcar, welcome to the six.

I would highly recommend lowering it a bit with a good coilover suspension and get rid of that huge fender gap, it really improves the overal aesthetics of the car as well as handling. KW makes an excellent coilover suspension which is very comfortable for daily driving. There are a couple of vendors on this forum with good pricing (check the Group Buy forum area).

Also would definitely upgrade to 19's.
Other than that, not much else you need except clear side markers to replace to orange ones. $25 from Sunset Porsche in Oregon.

You should think twice about adding 19" rims on the standard suspension. 'Excellence' recommends against it. The 18s are ideally mated to the suspension you have. I hope you vote on sound engineering and good performance instead of succumbing to the senseless trendy look de jour.

^ Porsche ships the 997 with 19" wheels as an orderable option, with the same suspension.

On the other hand, 996 comes with 18's and is designed for 18's- as in your 996 C4.

997's are a different car.
It is perfectly fine to run 19's.

Your opinion. I differ and so does Excellence, if you care.

Beautiful car

Beautiful car. I'm partial to white myself - owning a white 997S (Cab though). Cabs work for me in the Bay Area. It's just a bit creepy to see what looks like a tiptronic handle sticking up in the console but everything I read states that the new compu-manual is a real winner.
Too bad about the hit on the AM. Given the loss, I guess you had more against the car than just the fear of a big hit down the road. Not a fan myself. Handmade Camaro's, that's what they are
Again, congratulations.
