i dunno guys, unless if you use the softest microfiber (brand new, never used) and are very careful you are still gonna introduce small scratches and swirls.
I have been doing my car by hand since new, it has 35K miles and looks great but under certain lights i can see a few swirls.
i just went through the machine again, just sprays water then soap then rinse and a strong blower, just alittle more powerful than the leaf blower i use at home. worked like a charm 3x.
i really like it.

If u have black, u will understand. If u look at my car wrong it will scratch. This becomes an illness 4 perfection. I care for the car under fluorescent lights. This shows all. My wife thinks I am f_cked in the head. Guess what...... I agree

I know its a nice sports car and all, but come on... the paint is not the consistancy of warm butter. Its paint that has to stand up to being driven on public roads at high speeds. Sheesh. What a bunch of wusses. A no-touch carwash is fine in my book. If you are having a show car that needs to sparkle and shine everywere, thats one thing, but if this is a sports car for you to drive... daily, then give me a break. Save yourself some time and use a good no-touch carwash. Yeah, you may get a few scratches.. but so what. Your gonna get them anyway from other sources.

I've only been getting my new 08 C4S washed at hand car washes. I've only had it since labor day weekend and have been to the car wash 3x. Already, some guy drying it with a towel managed to get a shroud that was ripping off the end of the towel stuck underneath the "C" of Carrera and ripped off the "C" by mistake. Didn't notice until I got home (so obviously the car wash claimed innocence)!! Luckily, didn't rip any of the paint finish off. Not so lucky that a logo ripping off isn't covered under warranty....

Yeah you have to be extra carefull washing, drying, and waxing that *** back there. That why you should do your car yourself. Nobody will take of your baby like you will. Like my father told me as a kid " son if your toys are going to get broken, make sure you do it and not somebody else".
