Where can I purchase the PCM upgrade disc to 3.0 besides the dealer? Will be upgrading to NavTV / Sirius and this software upgrade is necessary. If someone has a disc and would like to sell it, please let me know.

Thanks,

Navteq is who usually sells them, I guess they have an agreement that only the dealer can sell them.

Just curious, what does the upgrade do? Does it add functionality if you have the pcm 2.1?

Suncoast has the DVD and the PCMs on sale. The PCM upgrade adds some goodies - since the MY06 and later PCM P manual has more pages, but I have not had time to look at the new stuff. Plus, you get updated maps. I think I'm at 12/07 now..

Allows the addition of optional Drive trace and logbook modules, also allows the useless traffic channel function.
Allows the usage of new Maps from 06 to 08 update (actually dated 07)

May allow MP3 playback if mid 05 PCM if not already present.

may be a stupid question, but how do you tell if your pcm is not the most updated?

Press the trip and main buttons together and go to the SW Versions.
Latest is 3.3

Thanks guys, a friend hooked me up. The level B software version took the pcm to 3.0, which is the minimum requirement for my next project: Self-install of the NavTV Sirius module .
