audio interface / XM for 997.2

I ordered these two options on my just delivered 997.2 and I must tell you for those of you who are choosing options that you must get the audio interface. you no longer will have to fumble around with your ipod. Everything is operated on the touch screen and it makes is so enjoyable to use. I think besides the engine upgrades I would have swapped my 07' just for this alone. Also, here is another tidbit some may be unaware of. On the 997.2 when you are going uphill.. say on a ramp to pay a parking attendant and you take your foot off the brake, the car will stay still and not roll backwards. It is a great feature for those like me who must go up a parking ramp everyday and stop on the incline. good stuff.

It is nice. I like how the colored Porsche logo shows up in the iPod as well. That said, fitting my iPod in there, with the cable, is a bit tricky, given you are fiddling with an area that is almost behind the driver. But once its in there, it works great!

Thats the drive-off-assist. It requires you to fully depress the brake pedal and clutch pedal before moving the brake foot to the gas. It also requires the car be on at least a 5% slope, otherwise it will not engage.. and it only holds it for a short time and disengages once you begin moving. Still, not having to use the handbrake to hold the car as you get the clutch engaged (the old way of starting on a hill) is very nice.

Is this new on the .2 model? I have a March build 997.1 Carrera and seems to me hill starts are "unassisted". Takes me back years!
