I did something similar to one of my cars last weekend... SO MAD!!

I took it to my ding guy, got it popped out and buffed, no you can even tell.

It was about $200.

If you want to make the drive to san Diego, there is one of the best body shops for porsches: West Coast Specialties.

They did my bodykit and 99.9% of all P car kits and repairs in the area.

They have CGT and 997 GT3, GT3 RS's in there every time i go by..... cars get hit and accidents happen... that is why they are called ACCIDENTS!

First thing is ask a good detailer; he'll know if he can get it all out and if not he'll know the better body shops. Your lucky it's Atlas Grey - it's the easiest color in the 997.1 line up to repair.

I see the a little quater panel damage but there doesn't look as though there is paint damage on that panel . In my area there are dent specialists who can get that out .
I would replace the rear bumper .

This could cost about 1-1.8K and you may be able to hedge any paint to the car other than bumper .
1) cost of new bumper
2) Dent repair .

You may wish to gp to a Dent Wizard about the panel . The Bumper you can do via dealership as its an OEM part which can be painted at any body shop of yoir choice .

Don't frett From what I can tell in your pictures, it may just be some scuffing of the clear. It can be easily polished out if that's the case.

Depending on where you in SoCal, call me. I'd be happy to help out.

emthree is infamous around these parts
There is no reason to replace anything at all. That's the craziest advice I've ever heard for a little scratch. You're probably looking at around 500-800 to respray both the bumper and quarter panel.

Fixing the bumper is the cheapest route and it might be able to be done. I looked at it carefully and some bumper scuffs can be fixed . Not always is it possible and on a 100K car if it's even slightly visible he will know its there . A new bumper does provide a clean slate if it boils down to the worst case scenario for him .

Right; it's nice but it isn't some $100k car. Listen to MoeMisty.

But dear, it needs a new bumper anyway so I thought it would be better to replace it with that GT3 bumper.

Since it has to be painted, I better add the front bumper, rear deck lid and wing now so the paint will match. Oh.... I have a list of things that the car needs so it will be cheaper if we do it all at the same time.
