$3k for the wrap!! Wow what a waste of money..how's a slap in the face for talking you down. Sorry never understood this mod, don't like the way the car looks and the insult to injury price makes this a no brainer..

LOL, considering you can totally change the look of the car, protect the original paint and it is totally reversible... i just dont see how it is a waste.

when it comes to selling the car and it has FLAWLESS paint under the wrap, that will make the car stand out more than a comparable car.

i feel ya, but I think it would be awesome to buy a car in a horrid color for cheap and then wrap it whatever color you want.

FTW!!

I like the matte black look, but I would likely not wrap my car in a solid color. However, I am planning to add some matte black vinyl, similar in style to the 2010 GT3RS: imagine the same checkerboard pattern and mirror inserts (not the whole mirror) in matte black over black paint.

Or, how about the Gallardo MIG? Now, that could be fun on a 997!

Mine!

Posted also in another thread, this is mine wrapped.

It did not cost me anything because the original guys who started this in Dubai just came over here in the Philippines and needed a car done as promotion for their grand opening in January.

Wrap is flawless, no one can tell that its just a wrap. Curves were done ONE PIECE! Only with the rear Techart wing wasn't done one piece because it had too much curves.

I love it! Haven't had so much people of all ages just stare as car drives by.

I think if done correctly it can look really nice, but as mentioned earlier since it is thinner than a clear bra it is weaker against stones etc.

How about Flat White? That's the color I want to go for...

+1 on all counts. Done perfectly, it would be dramatic. And for me (a white car guy) the matte white would be interesting. But the risk of damaging the pain (razors), and a few gaps here and there (less bothersome depending on the price) would have me just say 'no'.
The price is not the issue. We all put money in to these car to satisfy some internal need. None of our mods are necessary thus judging value is completely subjective.

2nd that. All car really needs is clear bra on half of hood and front bumper.

$3K wrap (even if with MIG war paint) is kinda childish stuff like grand piano sized rear wings, etc.

I spent $2k on a matte white wrap for my car and in retrospect is was the biggest waste of money I have ever done. use the money on clear bra.

Unless its a race car, my thoughts are wraps are stupid now.

Waste of money and they dont last, ESPECIALLY MATTE WRAPS.

If you really want to waste your money send it to me and I'll spend it on my race car and send you pictures
