As others have mentioned, let us touch a bit on this subject. There is a very distinct difference in vinyl vs. clear bra (paint protection film).

* vinyl is much thinner - coming in anywhere from 1.5 mils - 2.5 mils thick
* although vinyl is designed for outdoor, the manufacturers have never really taken into account for road grime, tar, etc. - vinyl will permanently stain
* fingerprints are a common problem - esp w/ the matte products

This is for some, but it's not going to be perfect...far from it. Expect vinyl to last approx 12 months.
