I wouldnt mind doin it myself if its doable...

Anyone replaced the bulb before?

Any tips tricks on how to's?

it's very easy and the instructions are in your owner's manual...the big shock will be how expensive the bulb is

Never received an owners manual as of yet...the dealers ordered me one however...

Got anywhere I can look it up until then?

if you pop the engine hood there will either be a single bolt or two screws visible that hold the tailight assembly in...hope this helps cause it's for a 996....

I've replaced mine. It's exactly like the 996 info posted above. I got my bulb at the VW dealer since they're closer. It's a common bulb used in European cars.
