2009 911 C2 Disounts off MSRP...whats the best you guys have seen so far??
Thanks guys keep the info coming...I am open to a CS or C4 or C4s...however Id like to get at least 20% off whatever I buy and am looking for a low options car which is tip.
you guys rock
you guys rock
You'll never get that on a new 2009 c2 . Even a C2S would have to be an off color demo with a few hundred miles and maybe a dent .scratch, swirl or chip .
But under 30 miles in black, white, red, or silver with "low options" -no way.
Plus 09 does not eveb make a "tip" so right there the PDK option alone costs money.
100% agreed with Larry who knows how much research and time I have spent dealing with MY09 911's.
$10k - $11k off sticker is about what you'll generally see for 2009 911 S Coupes + Cabrios. I'd say $12-14k for those weird colors, dealer demos.
At $10k off the dealership is not making any money on selling you the car, maybe they'll make some money on the financing but even in that case I've been told that the profit is slim to none. It's all about moving units and getting allocation.
TT's are going for $20k off MSRP.
I'm not sure of the discount on the CS.

I'm thinking as much as 17.5% on an 09, up to 25% for a fully featured car.
This pricing better reflects the CPO pricing of 07/08 models. Depending on region, in Florida and thereabouts, we are seeing 08 CxS beginning to dip below $60k asking. My anticipation is this number will dip below $50K sold by the end of Summer.
Hope this isn't to much off-topic but it does tell of how one local dealer thinks of pricing. Here's the story of a 2008 "new" 997S Cab that I was looking at. They knew I was serious, I told them I had check in hand and was ready to drive the 3 hours to their location if they were willing to sell me the car at a realistic price.
"There was one 2008 I was looking at recently (early May). Had 100 miles on the odometer. Dealer told me it had never been registered and thus I would be the first owner (which he said meant that when it came time to sell the car, I could sell it as a one owner vehicle). HOWEVER, it had been "punched" back in July of 2008 so that's when the warranty started. They basically were trying to sell/price the car as brand new. The sticker was right at $100k and they said they would "let it go to me" for $90k (10% discount on a 2008). Uhhmm, yeah, let me go outside before I bust out laughing. After some more digging on my part, I find that they had gotten this car in January of 2008, punched it in July of 2008, and are now going to make me "their best deal possible" and let me have it for $90k? How do these people stay in business? Oh yeah, that's right, not enough people look at 6speedonline and get informed buying decisions. Dealers just looking for that one poor sap to pick up this "punched" 2008 at the great price of $90k.
Long story short, thank you 6speed for all the help"

For example I know a dealer with a new '08 C2S coupe manual tranny with a $98K sticker (well loaded) and he'll gladly sell it for $73K. If I was in the market for that I'd jump on it myself - although the '09 is obviously so much better and if you could get 15% off one of those I don't think this 27% or whatever it is would sound as good.
I think this really is a regional thing. Trying to find a new 08 for $73K in greater Los Angeles / OC area is pretty difficult. I looked everywhere when I was shopping for mine two weeks ago.
I got 9% off plus a free clearbra on my new C2S in the Summer of 2007 - right at the height of the bull market. I basically paid the equivalent of $50K given that I funded the purchase through stock that would have subsequently depreciated.
True but it doesn't have to be. My search is national when it comes to dealers.

Hmmmmm. May need to rethink this for August 1 purchase.

Yep, time to rethink all used and new discounts. Hail the 2010s!
What dealer was this???
