Cone + 3M Film = Issue

As I posted before, I did my first autocross event this weekend. While I was largely able to avoid the bright orange cones marking the course, there was one gate (a set of three cones) that seemed to come out of nowhere on my first run and were greeted by my front bumped. My car has the 3M film / ventureshield / clear bra / what ever you would like to call it covering the front bumper, which now has two, small but annoying, black marks on it.

Per advice of someone at the event, I went and purchased some GooGone and attempted to use that. Nothing happened. I tired window cleaner, P21, and just good old fashion soap and elbow grease - all not very successful. Any suggestions on what to use?

I have a build up of rubber from the track on the rear fender guards. I haven't been able to remove it, took my car to the detail shop at the end of last season and they managed to remove all of it. They didn't tell me what they used, but said it was no problem.

Try a local detailer.

I was going to stop by a nearby place that does the installation of these films and see if they have any specific cleaner. I actually don't even know of any detailing shops around here.

I think one of baddiest chemicals to remove stuff is this:
http://www.topoftheline.com/sprayinwip.html

it should be able to take off anything.

I was researching this as idiot seller from whom I got my car has managed to drive over fresh road paint on day when we were committing sale transaction and did spray a bit of sprinkles of that white road paint on my rear right side wheel arc. So, that stuff happened to be non-removable, even those wipes did not take it (but cleaned all rubber pieces just fine) but they do take off anything else.

So if those black marks are indeed paint marks - try those wipes.

You can try some of this stuff. They have a cleaner, and a polish for clear bras. I've ordered the products, have been happy with the polish, haven't had cause to use the cleaner yet. Give them a call and see if they can help you out:

We have recently launched our newest product line for paint protection film PF1 TTR. This product is specifically designed to help those car enthusiasts take out black rubber marks or any type of similar transfer. Below are some pictures of the product being used on a track heavy car and the customer hit some tires on the track.

Here are the pictures:

Completed pics. Customer initially thought the film was toast...he's very happy he didn't have to replace or live with those marks.

Thanks for all the replies. I actually just got back from my local film shop and they set me up with this bottle of film sealant / cleaner. It took a little bit of rubbing (~5 minutes) but the marks came right off and the film looks as good as new. He said that a compound made specifically for the film was needed as things like GooGone, window cleaner, soaps, etc, don't interact with the film at all. He also said it would be a good idea to treat my film regularly as it lacks a clear-coat and may become dull over time.

I think in the future I will save myself a lot of headache and just put a piece of wide painters tape down at the bottom before my runs to protect from any scuffs.
