Break in finish and at 3000Km zero oil consumption
Is this normal? Been reading all kind of stuff regarding high rates of oil consumption on DFI engines, but mine reads "full" since day one.
seems like the more time you spend between 6K and 7.5K Rpm, the more oil you burn! (even though I remember that there is a forum member who tracks his car and doesn't burn much oil, so my theory may be flawed!)
From the searches of this forum, it seems that nearly anything is the norm, so long as it is less than a Qt/1000 miles.
I like you sig, I wish I got a pic of my car with the "wrapper" still on!!

Mine has now 2225 Kms. - The first 1500 Kms. I did not pass revs beyond 4500... -- After 1500 Kms. up to now I have been reving the car up to 6000 rpm
I love my C4S with PDK !
You did it right. Also, these cars should not be driven for short drives without proper temp cycling. And after the break in, and when the oil is at proper op temp, frequent sweeps to 6000+RPM is good for the engine.
Mine is 16k. Only twice did I have to add oil, by just 1 bar. You properly broke in it seems. Now the day you drive 200 miles at one go it might require additional oil, because it liquifies soem deposits accumulated during every day short trips.
I find my car doesn't use any oil, unless I am on the track. When the revs are high and the engine gets really hot, then I need to add a little oil.

Your engine (M97 - port injected) is not the same as the OP's (A91 - DFI).
I´ve made four trips of +/-300Mls each. I took the chance to be on an empty highway and use the power band till 4000rpm. In 7 gear , the engine runs at 245Kph / 152 Mph at 4000rpm. As I said before, zero oil consumption till now.
