Is this normal?
I ordered aftermarket techart side skirts for my 997 months ago. I painted them and tried to put them to my 997. However, there was a gap between the parts and the body of 997. I thought there was something wrong with the parts and sent them back. But the sales guy said I should push it little bit to fit perfectly like in the pictures I posted. They tried to show how perfectly they fit to 997 in the pictures. Do original techart side skirts fit like that? Is this normal?
When I got mine, my bodyshop said they fit like a glove and that's why they love working with TechArt. They say the parts are of very high quality and they have to do such little prep work to make them fit perfect.
When you say your skirst are "aftermarket", do you mean they are not original TechArt? If so, than I'm not sure if my comments apply as I've heard that some of the replica makers out there don't have the highest quality.
If you did order TechArt, did you order the correct skirt? Just asking because I know when I got my skirts that I had to make sure that I ordered the one for the widebody as TechArt makes a skirt for widebody and another one for narrowbody.

Do they come with automotive 2 sided tape? I believe two sided tape (like 3M) is used to adhere the top half of the skirt to the body in even the Techarts. It shouldn't be a problem if this is the case.
