The further back the wing sits the more downforce.

This would require changing the entire decklid, but it could be done. I've always wanted someone to do it.

thanks

Thanks, the key is to get the wing from someone used if possible or the project does not make sense based on OEM pricing if 13+K for the parts needed. Then get a good installer as their is electrical work needed (I now have four brake lights) and need to swap out from stock air box... a mod I was going to do regardless with an EVO set up.

Could you list for us the factory parts you had to purchase and an approximate breakdown of the cost for the parts and fabrication/install?

The TT wing is probably the only one I'd consider but my understanding was its cost prohibitive (compared to the cost of the car... but then isn't any factory part mod?)

I love this look as well. I might just contact Misha to see if they're willing to do a custom job since OEM is just too expensive...

MAShaw makes a TT rear decklid + wing for the non TT 997 for $1,400.
http://mashaw.biz/997TurboTailbasefor997Carrera.asp

MAShaw also makes what looks like a nice ducktail for the 997 for $800.

No idea what their quality is like, as I've no personal experience with them.

I wonder if they can add a function to have the wing to go up and down
