Whats a good price for this CPO '05 Carrera?
I have been shopping for another sports car to replace the C6 I just sold.
The car I am considering is a 2005 Carrera (non-S), 32k miles, Black, 6spd, Xenons, Sport Seats, Sport Chrono Plus, 19" Carrera S wheels, Porsche CPO warranty until 11/10.
The dealer is asking $41,900 and I believe there is currently a 2.9% financing promotion on CPO cars.
So my questions are...
1. What would this car sell for without the warranty?
2. How much of a premium does a CPO car command on average vs a non warranty car?
3. Do you think there is any room for negotiation? (there is only 1 yr left on the warranty)
4. Does a car being porsche certified guarantee the car has not been in an accident or had previous paintwork?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm guessing its the car up on auto trader . Looks nice and its priced exactly where it ought to be . I don't know anything about the dealership and see that right below it a competing dealership is selling similar car with more miles and no CPO and not such great options . The key is that the "other" dealership has loads of 6speed posters saying they are fantastic .. especially with service . see here https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...y-service.html
Tough call --I would put that (or any other car for that matter) car through every inspection test from it's DME to its paint .
To answer your questions -
1) a 5 year old car can sell for a variety of prices based on its history and condition . Generally Porsches in decent shape rarely break 35K at this age. You can probably get this one in the upper 30's . (I would close at 36.7 firm or walk)
2) about 1500 on a car like this.
3) you can't change what it is with age and warranty . All used cars are negotiable .
4) it should -- BUT --I would test it anyway . You can bring your own paint meter or you can request a private inspection and you'd have to pay .
