I use an electric blower to dry, get most of the water off wheels , mirrors, and other crevices, and then I use a chamois - WOrks great for me. A little extra work but the car looks great once it's done -

I've been using a blower ever since I read Kevin M's post.
Thank You Kevin!

Yes Redlinerobert, it's great to get the bulk of the water out of the wheels and cracks and crevices. I use a chamois also.

Only problem I have is not being able to blow it when I'm doing an early morning wash. Can't crank that thing up at 5 AM!

474 days of ownership and 78 washes.
Waxed / P21S x 4.

Has anyone tried to blow dry cars with a yard electric or gas powered blower?
yeah, i often use one. works great for getting the big chunks of water off and getting stuff out of the crevaces so that when you pull off after washing it, you don't have drips everywhere.

I always use one. The trick is to get one that blows above 200 mph. I had a lower one and it was frustrating. Now it blows dry in no time. An you keep your car much more scratch free.

Keep in mind a good wax job on it really helps to.
