Geek's delight - Testing the new dry sump

Here's a C&D article about the new dry sump in the 2009. I can't tell whether they're talking about the 997.2 or not, but after explaining how it works, they link to a video Porsche provided of the engine on a simulator rack being put through the corners of Nurburgring.

Forgive me if this was posted long ago. Too good not to share it: http://tinyurl.com/Newdrysump

Gary: it is the 9A1 DFI design with it's dynamic on-demand oil pressure control. This engine will not be oil starved.

I thought it might be, but C&D weren't clear. Thanks, ADias.

Interesting articale and film. But the test bed Porsche was using really can't reproduce the G-forces felt in high speed cornering, on the angles that might be achieved, or even more than the angles. Still the system should be a big improvement.
