How's My Rear Tire Tread Look?

I bought my car used and with all of this discussion about 295 vs 305... I thought I'd post the condition of my rear tires and get some opinions on the condition.

I'm running Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
235 Frnt & 295 Rear on 19" Carrera Sport rims

Look fine to me. You know those little bumps in the middle of the tire are wear indicators right?

Hard to be totally accurate but looks like 5-6/32 tread left. Low tread indicators are usally 4/32. Get a gauge ,@5-6 bucks, great device to have especially if you lease.

getting close but it looks like you still have some meat left.

Good to know.... I'd like to milk them a bit longer.

What bumps?

When the tread gets low I can feel it on a curve . The rear is not as planted . This can even be the case if one tire is replaced and thus the two tires have uneven tread .

I wasn't able to view your picture . I have my screen settings for larger print reading and that seems to make the photo darker . I will try to get back to it later and reset my screen.

Those narrow horizontal rubber lumps that sit in the depth of the main tread grooves. When those are contacting the road you'll know its time to change.:)
