PSS10's Installed

5 Attachment(s)
I put on a set of Bilstein PSS10's on my non-PASM base C4, was pretty excited about my set up so I thought I'd share my initial impressions.

- Improved bump steer.

- The ride quality is stiffer but in a good way and the stock set up rocked the cabin in many ways.

- Alignment isn't as straight as it was stock, but its good enough.

Unlike other 6speeders, I found my stock alignment near perfect for straightline purposes maybe not to eliminate understeer but I could literally go 1 mile on a stretch of a straight freeway without touching the wheel . I may be having this issue because of the inherit variability in height of each thread of the 4 coils amongst each corner? Overall very pleased!

Enjoy the iPhone pics gents.

Looks nice, only thing I am not sure if you were supposed to have same height from wheel center to fender in rear and in front, rear should be at least half inch higher than front one to maintain proper angle but it is difficult to see on pictures anyway. It just looks like front and rear gap between wheels and fenders is exactly the same. Rear gap should be slightly bigger.

good call utkin, the reason I didn't do that is because of increased sensitivity while steering. Already I have a light front end last thing I want on top of that is have a sensitive steering wheel :).

Wow that looks sooo much nicer than the stock height! I also have a 997.2 C4 and I can't stand the fender gap. I was thinking about going with just H&R springs - cheaper. How much did the Bilstein's cost, if you don't mind me asking?

if you have a light front end feeling, raising the rear would push more weight to the front causing that feeling to somewhat dissipate.

if you corner balance the car you will see just a 1" rake will change the weights much more than you would expect,

Do these soak up any of the sharp bumps that seem to be everywhere on LA roads?

I especially wanted the rear higher than the front for the same reason... :D

To the OP: be careful! that height may cause some problems in daily driving :)

I'm lucky I just have to worry about speed bumps.

Really I heard the opposite raising the rear increases the sensitivity of the front wheels (logically this makes more sense too though doesn't it? think funny car status)
