.1 C2 Cab vs .2 C4 Cab

There is a leftover '09 C4 Cab at a dealership in Delaware in my ideal color combo - Crema w Red, and I'm considering trading my '08 C2 Cab for the newer model.
Don't know details yet, but it doesn't look like a highly optioned car. In general I like the feel of RWD better, but are there things that could be done to the suspension of the C4 to make it handle more like RWD? If so, what do they run?
I know the C4 (non-S) Cab is considered a dog by many, but insofar as I'm happy with my current level of .1 non-S power, I think I would be OK with the new motor, even with 4wd.
What are your thoughts?

The C4 cab is a tough car market. I can't find the old thread but somewhere on this forum I do remember a guy who bought a C4 cab and faced the hardest time selling it . It's that much of an uncommon car yet the price is not cheap. Most will opt for the bigger engine in the C2S cab OR if they want AWD they opt for the C4S Cab.

Plus the car is an 09 and for some odd reason the used car prices are high these days . Theoretically -- the best deals on 09 cars back in 09 were 15-22 percent off so this car realistically is worth 30 percent off MSRP and there's no way you'll get it for that .

Plus you get snagged in trade.

My reasining goes like this --
Either find a 2010 car at a dealership and negotiate a good price OR spec a 2011 car and negotiate a percentage discount right onto the contract as well as a respectable deadline to have the car .

T33 is infamous around these parts
My opinion is going from an 08 to an 09 is not worth the $$$ that you would spend. If you were going for an S, then maybe. I went from an 05C2 to an 09C2S and I think the extra $$$ I paid was worth it. But your 08 is still new, enjoy it. Hold on for the the next gen 998. I'm sure there will be very significant changes over your car now. Just my 2 cents.

I hear you, but I'm a sucker for the color combo and there is no guarantee they will continue to offer it. So few are probably being produced in this combo that it's unlikely I'll be able to pick one up on the pre owned market. And I'm too cheap to order a new C2S cab and pay full retail.

You are paying full retail . the discount on that car absorbs some of original MSRP resulting from the cars age . The fact that it sat on the lot unsold for two years is an indicator of how hard it is to sell. As much as you love it .. a lot of people walked away from that car before you and it is something to keeo in mind . I completely can relate to the honeymoon phase where you want the car but since i have no attachment to that car I can make suggestions without that emotion .
There even is one other thing to consider . If the car sat on a lot for almost two years it basically has been a garage queen . You may want to check for all the fluids and things to be sure that it's all clean and that there are no faulty seals from sitting still for so long.

I spoke with the salesperson today and we are too far apart. It is a nicely optioned car except for two things - no power/lumbar package, and no sport chrono. So combining the fact that it is a rare bird and the fact that it is missing a couple important options (crazy - has dynamic cornering lights, full leather, bose, ventilation, carrera sport wheels, sport steering wheel, etc, - but not sport chrono or power seats), I'm not willing to go the extra 5 or 10 grand they want out of me. Sounds like it might have been special order that someone backed out of.
