Gundo Hack Chicago - 997.2
Is there a Gundo hack for the 997.2? The muffler setup is different isn't it?
One option is to go to do Fister. He's done hundreds of these and he probably has a set similar to yours in stock. He send them to you - you take to a local place for the switcheroo, and then send back your cores to him. You can also keep yours and forego the refund for the core charge. No affiliation, but he did some for me and they should be arriving any day now.

I talked to Fister about dong the mufflers on my '09 Carrera S and he said that at that time he had not done any mufflers for the newer cars and doubted that with the addition of a primary muffler to the exhaust system that the mod would not provide the sound that the earlier models got. I am still waiting for someone here to post their results of doing this mod with the primary muffler still in place.
Fister and primary muffler on 2010 997.2
PT Parks, I should have an answer for you soon...running Fabspeed secondary bypass pipes while I am awaiting Fister mod. They are LOUD and drone like hell. Great for track/DE, but not for street--at least not for me. If the sound is not loud enough (in comparison to the 996 cars) with the Fister/Gundo alone, I will add the Sharkwerks.
I took a look at the link and the prices are reasonable. I like the idea of having the option for ceramic coating.

I'm in chicago too and couldn't find anyone in the area familiar enough with the gundo hack to trust with my car. Ended up ordering from fister. My car is currently at Rennology getting the mufflers swapped out. The quality of fister mod looks pretty good. Can't wait to try it out this evening!
