I've Fallen In Love (Again!!)

As you might recall from my earlier post, after enjoying my '08 C2S Coupe for three years, I recently went to the local dealer with the intent to order a 2011 Carrera S Coupe, Ruby Red metallic, beige standard leather, and very few options (PDK, sports chrono, sport exhaust). After a few hours of quite unexpected negotiations, and what I believe was an exceptional deal, I traded in my first love, my ’08, and drove away in a new 2010 Carrera S Cabriolet, Ruby Red with standard beige interior (and a whole bunch of options).
I’m sorry (well, happy) to say that I’ve gotten over my first love, and quickly realized that what I thought was love was “liked a lot.” I’m happy to say that I’m really in LOVE this time. It was almost like we met on a blind date, because I had intended to buy a 2011, and also had never even considered a Cabriolet (don’t know why, just never did.)

It would take an exceedingly long post to fully describe the differences in my ’10 C2S Cabriolet over the ’08 C2S Coupe. The convertible aspects, of course, and the PDK over the Tiptronic, the sport exhaust (love it), Sport Chrono Plus with “Launch Control,” and all the other options I didn’t have before (Nav, ventilated seats, Bose, XM radio).

Reminds me of the old Buddy Holly song, “It’s so easy to fall in love … so doggone easy.”

Although the cab has a higher rear end, it will open up a whole new world for u. ;)

u can go 160+ mph with the top down.. and feel like u own the world. :)

Nice combo. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't look like the 997.2 Sports Exhaust. Unless you had it installed after the pics... The new PSE has wierd little black pipes inside the chrome tips.

You're right. The car was not originally optioned with PSE. Part of the deal was for the dealer to install OEM PSE, which they did a few days later. (See my earlier post, dated 06/30/10).

The dealer-installed OEM sport exhaust does not have the factory on/off switch, which turns out to be a good thing because it's on all the time. So when I start the car, it sounds like a huge Doberman or Rottweiller getting ready to bite somebody.

When I had my '08 (no PSE), although I enjoyed it, I always felt there was something missing. As soon as I started my new '10 with the PSE, I knew what it was. It was the pipes. I love it. :) :) :)

I too like the ruby red a lot. although i must say the 08 had a sweet color as well.

Wow, that is impressive! After all the snow you had last winter, I would have thought you would have been living in it.

Congratulations!
I might be in the position of doing a similar trade. How much did you get it down to?
