PDK stall at red light-ever happen to anyone?

I have an 09, 997.2 PDK, 5500 miles in 14 months-weekend driver. Anyway, the car is garaged and kept on a charger but today, took it out for a short drive running errands. Upon returning to car, I started her fine, and, at a red light, in "auto" mode on PDK, the car stalled out........... No error message or anything-put it in park, depressed brake and it started right up. I drove it rather "sportily" after, getting it up to triple digits on the highway before returning home. No other issue or anything.

I have a Tubi exhaust, car is more throaty than stock but never had an issue like this before. I haven't driven it in about 10 days........

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this before?

You might do a search to see what the symptoms of fuel pump problems are. I know there have been issues in that area.

Interesting, could you please share more details?

I am just wondering if it is a software or hardware glitch that would cause the stalling when shifting form 1-2.

Many thanks,

Many thanks,
i was driving out of the basement, going up hill to the exit. I then stopped slightly on a ramp near the exit.

While I was about to go forward, right after releasing break and stepping on the gas pedal the car stalled. I felt it stalled probably by stepping on the gas too quickly after releasing the break, I did it to preventing the car from sliding backwards.

Another reason why the car might have stalled was, while i was going up hill in auto...right after first gear turned to second, i stepped on the break to slow down near the exit...

this happened to me twice. same place, same situation.

my car had later went into maintenance and the situation has probably been solved. Never had that issue come up again. 13000km now

this even sounds confusing to me..

exact same thing happened to me once on my Panamera S. however, Panamera has the auto stop/start function so i wasn't thinking about if it was the PDK's bug. this is interesting. i'll for sure keep an eye on it from now.

stall did not happen to me upon acceleration-1st to 2nd, happened at idle, at a red light, in auto mode - PDK..... Worked fine after restart, first time since owning it I let it go almost 2 weeks without driving. Not a battery issue, car is on a Porsche batt maintainer in garage.
Just felt for a sec like a rough idle and stall.................................

Once again, no error message and no issue after restart-car ran like a champ in the triple digit range after incident and testing........................
Not that concerned, steaming hot south florida day........................may have been a one time thing, just thought I'd run it by the forum........................

Happened to me twice backing out of my garage while in REVERSE...just started car from overnight (but don't think that mattered since i drive her everyday)...just chalked it up to coincidental. But have the one year service coming up so i think will have the dealer check it out.

Porsche Korea CEO brushed it off as something that may happen. Nearly punched him at a recent Porsche party (turbo S launch). Anyone know anyone at Porsche AG I can formally complain to?

The '09 DFI 997s suffered from HPFP ( high pressure fuel pump ) failures. Car stalling at will, long time cranks to start, engine in limp mode are all symptoms. Have the dealer replace under warranty.
