You know you're a 997 driver when ......

I figured a light hearted thread might be enjoyable . a few things come to my mind -

1) You know you're a 997 driver when you mistakenly walk to the front of your other car when that trunk is in the rear.

2) You know you're a 997 driver when leave work early or end a workout just to enjoy driving home .

3) You know you're a 997 driver when you find yourself looking at the rear end of your own car as you walk away from it.

Anyone want to add to the list ?

6) When you hop in another car with your key in your left hand and try to start ! (This applies to any porsche owner though)

You know you're a 997 driver (Porsche driver) when:
1) you go to the local Porsche dealership to "hang out" and look at the other cars

2) you are on a first name basis with your Porsche mechanic

3) can ALWAYS think of something new to do to enhance your Porsche

4) your Porsche can never be clean/shiny enough...

You know you're a 997 owner when:

a) You go for a nice drive on a sunny weekend and you already planned your driving route and PARKING spot you plan to park at when you stop and eat at your favorite Irish pub THE NIGHT BEFORE! LOL

b) When your way of "relieving stress" is actually POLISHING and detailing your 997!

c) When you warn your passengers in advance to "Not scrape their shoes against the leather scuff trim as they get into the car, AND to close the door once they get outta the car by the car door handle and NOT the door panel so as NOT to get finger smudges on the panel!" LOL!

You know you're a 997 driver when...

... Your wife finally gives up begging you to park closer to the mall entrance.

... 50% of you monthly water bill is for washing the car.

... A Highway Patrolman pulls you over to find out what polish you're using.

... You miss work to fix a rock chip.

... Your boss suddenly wants to buy you lunch...if you'll drive.

... Your wife asks you what the car wants for Christmas.

You park the car, lock it safely, but need to stare at it for the next 50' as you walk away from it...

A female cop pulls you over just to tell you how beautiful your car is. She notices the wedding band on your finger and says "Nuts, all the good ones are gone".

Happened to me - no Penthouse story here, female cop looked like John Madden

You know you're a 997 driver when-

You can tell the difference between a .1 and a .2

You can tell the difference between a base and an S, a GT3 from an Aerokit car, etc

This. Told the dealer yesterday that he'd probably be seeing me a lot, to "get my fix", between now and the long wait for my GTS delivery. Killing me.

+1, that happens to me way too much. Perhaps I need to trade my Touareg for a Cayenne.

1. It doesn't matter if the car isn't detailed or it might rain, take it out and drive it.
2. Great car for running errands, the mall, grocery store, etc.
