I have a 2005 997S and called a few shops near me. The price I got were from $150 to a high of $500. With 1.5 hours labor to 3 hours labor. How long this this take and what is the right price for this job?

 

we did mine on a lift in less than 2 hours, go to a repuable muffler shop that deals with muscle cars etc and they'll do it

 

I paid about 200

 

It's an easy job. 2 hours labor at any decent muffler shop.

 

We are located just north of Philadelphia.

Our rate is $115 per hour and we charge 1.5 hours for just a muffler install.

 

I paid $250 to have my Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers installed on my '05 997S. Wish I could have done it myself but I live in a high rise downtown so no where to tinker around..

I also called around and had some shops including the dealer quote just shy of $500.

 

I paid $100 to swap out my stock cans with PSE.
It took about 1 hour (or less).
You should not have to remove the rear bumper.

I have installed mufflers on both my 993 and my 996 Carrera. Both installs took about 1 1/2 hours to complete. Not a difficult project at all. The Turbo is next.

 

On my 2006 and 07 I installed my Fabspeed Max Flo's myself in my garage. Laying on my back and a couple a wrenches anda socket I was done in a couple of hours easy. On my 09 I took out my stock mufflers in 30minutes and installed the side muffler by-pass on the center resonator. On the same 09 I took off the center resonator and installed a Tubi system in an hour.

 

Nice guys, yea its a nice thing when you can get under the car and handle it your self without going through anyone. Enjoy your cars and keep Fabspeed in mind for any future upgrades.
