It happens maybe once a day at a random time...so the car is functional but just risky! I had suspected the fuel pump as well but don't think it's that...

Is there a known software patch for this maybe?

Thanks for your help.

This is a 'drive-by-wire' car, so that means electronically modulated throttle position, right ? So they need to do a run-through of the software / control system.

Like chance said, the drive-by-wire system needs to be examined thoroughly. Maybe one of the sensor has gone bad, possibly the one the pedal is connected to.

Drive by wire cars have sensors on the gas pedal. I had the same issue with my Mercedes. All they had to do was change the gas pedal. I don't know if it would be the same with Porsche. I suspect it should be the same.

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Is this a Porsche service center or independent? At any rate, maybe try to find someone else to look at it.

Independent, but I am taking it to a dealer center on Monday - but I mentioned the problem to the dealer tech already over the phone and he also seems clueless!

I'm bringing all your messages to him though to see if anything rings a bell.

Thanks, any other ideas?

Pinout accelerator pedal 997

Hi,

Im searching for the pin out of the 997 accelerator pedal. Can anyone help me?
Looks like a hall effect sensor in the throttle, I could not read a resistance, just infinity between all connectors.
