Toto.... We're Not In Kansas Anymore!!!!!!!!
 

Picked up my new 997S Cab this afternoon and preceeded to rack up about 150 miles. All I have to say is UNFU$%^&%$#ing credible!!!!! After driving a 996 for the last 4 years and cant even believe the difference between the two!!! The 997S makes the 996 feel like a Yugo!!! I might be a bit off as I've been driving a SUV (a fast one though) for the last 6 months, but I truly cant remember having this much fun in the 996.

The clutch is like butter, the brakes sooooo much more responsive..... and step on the gas...... HOLY SH%^%$#!!!!!

Now for the bad news!!!! After driving for about an hour I pulled into the gas station to grab a soda and noticed the transmission wouldnt go into reverse. I called the dealer who thought I was crazy!!! Luckily the Service Mgr lives a few towns away and met me in town. The look on his face was priceless as he tried and tried and tried but all to no avail. Tomorrow they will flatbed the car in and hopefully its just a quick fix. Funny thing was I watched them back the car out of the dealer just an hour before and there was no problem!?!?!?!?

Despite this one issue this has to be the 2nd greatest 100K I've ever spent -- Legal fees to get rid of my wife just beats it!!!!

thanks darren... will be in your neck of the woods on tues... getting 3m installed. But it might be an expensive meeting for you..... will be tough for you not to run out and get one after seeing it up close.
