Laser Interceptor Installation

Just received my LI and am beginning the install. For those that have installed this system, I'm curious as to what route you took to get the front sensor cables into the cabin. Thanks in advance.

Remove all of the flimsy, plastic, velco'd trim pieces including the battery cover and the one near the windshield washer filler, including the front piece where the hood latches. This will give you a good visual.

Run the transponder cables from your mount up one (or each) side of the frunk. There is an access area behind the battery that is foam rubber. You can make a small slit in there and it drops down into the cabin.

Catchacab will become famous soon enough
Although this is an install of an Escort 9500ci, which isn't as good a laser jammer as the Laser Interceptor, this is an excellent step by step of a laser jammer install. It can be done easier, but this is one of the highest quality installations as far as running and hiding the wires.

Ok, I'll post details and pictures by the end of the week. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures while I was doing the work but it's easy enough to go back and redocument it, total install was about three hours and not difficult. I still have not decided where to install the power switch but am thinking either in the ashtray compartment (will take adding some sort of small mounting block) or just below the emergency brake handle.

thanks, your sensors look to be way out in front. Makes me nervous that a law officer would see them and ask what they are.

You can move them back so they don't protrude. The police will not be able to see your jammer while driving, even at slow speeds. I have mine protruding out a little to get better visibility of the road ahead in all angles.

The farther forward the sensors are the better the performance. Gagetman's aren't protruding enough for me.
