I have got the fever for PDK. I have an 05 997S and I have been looking at prices on 09 and 10's with PDK. Found a CPO 2010 911S PDK with 2,140 miles with Sport Chrono Plus, Pwr comfort seats w/driver mem, heated seats, xm radio, bluetooth phone interface and colored crest wheel caps. Asking $82,945. The CPO warranty runs through 4/16/16. Its only a couple hours from my home. Am I going to get hammered on my 05 with 14,500 miles as a trade?

Your best bet is try to sell it yourself or take it to CarMax. A dealer is going to give you market auction price for your car. ie. bellow kbb etc. Good luck with your car search .

On a trade you will get surely hammered...

price seems a tad high but not overly so...need to know what was MSRP.

Your current car plus 40K ought to be a close estimate.

Depending on the condition and mileage you can expect to get 500-1000 less than black book on a trade that way the dealer can make some money if he decides to send it to auction. If the dealer decides to retail it then you should be able to push them to buy above average prices especially if your vehicle is in great shape. See below average retail and action prices. The retail prices are high below. The dealer is probably making going to make $3-6k depending on how good of a negotiator you are.

If you buy and sell in the same state the you might save on sales tax. I know here in Texas you only pay tax on the difference.

Thanks for the prices. Dealer got back to me and without seeing my car says I'm looking at 40K difference.

I have an '05 997.1 C2S Launch Edition with 48K miles and Carmax wrote me an offer for $36K last week - the car is in good condition. Like you, i've been thinking about replacing my car, but with an air-cooled model (really, I don't know what I want to do). Good luck!
