I had an oil filter wrench from my 944/968 that I bought from the auto parts store years ago. It is the same size as the oil filter on my 997.1. If you go to an autoparts store and find one that is listed to fit porsche 944/968 it should also fit a 997.1S

I have this one. My brother picked it up for me from one of these trucks that sells mechanic tools. Looks like you were off by 1/2 mm.

I used an adjustable one for two years but then it started to slip amd hard to tighten the cap. I picked up a Porsche one this years and it's perfect. Try suncoast or sunset Porsche, they both have them.

I have quite a few oil filter wrenches of various sizes (for cars and motorcycles) and am wondering if one of the ones I have will fit my P-Car. Can someone please (1) count the number of flats and (2) measure the diameter across the flats on the Porsche oil wrench?

I searched high and low for one that would fit, ended up with the OEM. If you buy a poorly fitting one, then you run the risk of damaging the filter housing. Spend the extra money, and get the OEM.
