My dealer switched me to Mobile 1 5W/40W about a year ago.
|
Wonder where he's buying 5/40 Mobile 1 unless it's the kind for diesel engines. I thought the 5/40 was only available in Europe.

for street car in cold winter stay with 0w40, for summer - 5w50, mobile 1. they are both approved by manufacturer.
those who track car a lot use 15w50 as engine runs much hotter on a track. street car does not need it. |

No I actually bought Mobil 05/40 synthetic today at Pep boys. $8.29
If Mobil 1 5/40 is now here in the States I think I would switch to it. |

Curious, does it have the A40 approval on it and say anything about made to the specs of Benz, Volkwagen or Porsche? Or 'european formula'?
