Anyone here running fabspeed Cat and/or muffler bypass pipes?
Hi there
I have a 2006 997 S with X51 and PSE.
I am considering one of the following or both:-
1. 997 X-pipe cat bypass
These are only $650 and I see the sport cat (200 cel) versions are $1495, do the sport cat versions give more or less power as cats I know are for emissions. Still do these cars make best power with sport cats or no cats at all? Compatible with my PSE and X51?
2. 997 Muffler bypass pipes
Are these compatible with PSE? If so would PSE still operate or would it always be loud? I ask about these as the baffle in one of my PSE mufflers has come loose and sounds rattly and this could be a low cost fix which adds power and saves a lot of weight. Is this compatible with my PSE and X51?
Has anyone here done either of the above on their car or both? If so be good to hear what you think and any gains you may have got.
The parts are listed here:-

PM Sent. Muffler bypass pipes would eliminate your PSE exhaust. But we do have our Valvetronic exhaust which works just like your PSE exhaust and plug right in, but it would improve the sound with the sport button off and on.
thanks,
thanks,
Just get the Fabspeed X-pipe bypass and the spacer of the O2 sensors. The mufflers bypass is way to loud for the streets. Maybe just remove your PSE mufflers and oem cats and start your car up. : ) you will see.
X51 header, X-pipe bypass and PSE mufflers are good combos. Cheers!

I've heard the muffler delete and the noise was horrible and crazy loud, plus the noise inside the car was horrid.
So would m X51 headers, PSE mufflers and x-pipe bypass give a better sound?
My car is a x51 as well, thus x51 header and pse from the factory. Tried the cat bypass (x type similar to fabspeed design), sounds rice and high pitch while lossing low/mid range torque. Switch to 200 cell sports cats, much happier now in terms of sound and power.
