radio code...

i have been looking for the radio code for my 2007, and have been told by a friend that he thinks they have done away with this feature, i have navi as well, can anyone confirm? when i disconnect the battery this would be a nice thing not to have to think about... always thought it was a waste of time anyway, tia, kk

When I changed the dead battery in my 2006 the only issue I had was the PSM/ABS light & a couple of other dash lights. I drove it a couple blocks while making left & right hand turns & all the lights reset themselves. The time between the dead battery & the new one was under 10 minutes.
Some people have suggested the use of a 9 volt battery w/ a plug in to save any settings.

I was also told that with the 997 series Porsche had done away with the radio codes.

There are no radio codes for 997's. I would suggest driving the car (even if the PSM & Other warning lights are on) they will go away as mentioned above.
